Out On A Limb Maple Farm was created in the heart of Wyoming County in 2011 and over the past few years, grew the operation adding a sugarhouse, retail store, and increased tap counts to 18,000.
We are producers of high quality pure Maple Syrup and other quality maple products. At OOAL we prepare our woods in late fall/early winter to be ready for sap collection. The sap collection process generally occurs in late winter/early spring when sap "runs" on above-freezing sunny days. Then we hope for below-freezing nights to continue sap collection for several weeks. As we collect the sap, we turn it into the sweet sensation know as Pure Maple Syrup. From the syrup, we create favorites such as Maple Cream and various forms of Maple Sugar.
For the 2015 maple season, we operated 2 locations. Our first location was in Wyoming, NY where you could come to the sugarhouse during the spring to see the how syrup is made, partake in family oriented Maple Weekend activities, try yummy maple samples, and go on great tours. Our new, second location, is in Jackman, Maine. The Jackman location is in a remote part of Northern Maine where maple trees are plentiful and weather conditions are prime for great maple production. We were very pleased with our first season in Maine and after operating the two locations, we decided to relocate OOAL to Jackman, Maine.
We are currently settling in at the new Maine location and will be unable to fill customer orders until the new crop comes in during Late Spring 2016. Should you have questions, please email us using the contact form. We will respond in one business day.
Thank you for your support and we encourage you to use real maple syrup and products that contain real maple.
P.S. - For those of you who enjoyed visiting and purchasing products at our sugarhouse on Webster Road in Wyoming, NY - good news - Brad White of Sweet Time Maple & Honey will be taking over the location. He will provide you with the same high quality products and great customer service that you received from our team. We wish Brad great success. Please feel free to stop and and say hi to Brad and his family during the sugaring season.
